This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on technical leader who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, improving processes, and mentoring engineers across multiple locations.

This is not a purely administrative management role—you'll remain technically engaged while driving product development, manufacturing improvements, and engineering excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5–10 engineers located in the U.S., China, and India
  • Serve as a technical leader for electromechanical product design and development
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through production while meeting quality, cost, and schedule objectives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, product management, quality, and customers to develop innovative solutions
  • Improve engineering processes, documentation, and best practices in a growing manufacturing environment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
  • Support new product development, testing, validation, and product qualification
  • Develop manufacturing processes that meet engineering standards and customer requirements
  • Lead engineering meetings and help prioritize technical initiatives across the organization
  • Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative, high‑performing engineering culture
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Engineering leadership experience with direct management responsibilities
  • Strong hands‑on experience designing electromechanical products
  • Experience with product development in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of:
    • Injection molded plastic components
    • Metal stamping
    • Plating processes
  • CAD experience (Creo preferred)
  • Experience managing engineering projects from concept through production
  • Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
  • Experience working within Lean manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Aerospace, defense, robotics, connector, or other highly engineered manufacturing experience
  • Experience with FMEA methodologies
  • ERP system experience
  • Knowledge of connector design or contact manufacturing
  • Experience supporting global engineering teams
  • Familiarity with aircraft electrical or avionics systems
What Makes This Opportunity Unique
  • Lead a globally distributed engineering organization
  • Influence engineering strategy and help build scalable engineering processes
  • Work on technically challenging electromechanical products
  • Significant opportunity to shape team culture and engineering best practices
  • Join a company investing in engineering growth and long‑term product innovation
Travel
  • Approximately 10% travel, including occasional international travel (typically two trips annually)
Ideal Background
  • Aerospace & Defense
  • Robotics
  • Industrial Manufacturing
  • Precision Electromechanical Products
  • Connector or Interconnect Systems
  • High‑Reliability Electronic Products

If you're a collaborative engineering leader who enjoys balancing technical problem‑solving with people leadership and process improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
