Job Summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, GME Technical Operations to lead the Equipment Engineering and CAD services group within the Cardiovascular team. The role focuses on developing and maintaining manufacturing fixtures and tooling for production and new product introduction (NPI) activities. The position is located in Danvers, Massachusetts, United States.

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for existing products and new product development.
  • Design and develop equipment and fixtures to ensure strong production capabilities.
  • Manage a design team to build effective and efficient equipment for new and existing products.
  • Support product development and manufacturing departments by managing resources and project execution.
  • Identify improvements for existing fixtures and equipment to optimize manufacturing processes and uptime.
  • Interface with development and manufacturing operations to ensure equipment meets product requirements and division objectives.
  • Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑term strategies for equipment support to improve process performance, assure product quality, and support manufacturing capacity forecasts.
  • Analyze designs using solid models and drawings with CAD (Solid Works) applying GD&T, stack‑up analyses, and best practices.
  • Provide timely inputs and reports to customers and management on workload planning, project prioritization, and updates.
  • Implement efficiency, accountability, and standardization to build and maintain a CAD database and infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment designing and leading manufacturing equipment and fixturing.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience; medical device experience preferred or other highly regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Solid Works) and experience with PDM databases and GD&T best practices.
  • Knowledge of technical operations, resource prioritization, and manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Benefits and Compensation

Anticipated base pay range: $122,000 – $177,000. The position is eligible for an annual performance bonus and participation in the company’s long‑term incentive program. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, group legal insurance, a consolidated retirement plan (pension and 401(k)), and various time‑off benefits.
