Nuclear Medicine​/PET Technologist

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care while performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures safely using Nuclear Medicine and CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Scan patients properly, selecting the correct technical factors, fully understanding the physics of nuclear medicine to operate equipment at optimal settings for quality procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients.
• Explain procedures to patients, taking into consideration their physical and emotional needs.
• Record images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintain pertinent records.
• Maintain required documentation regarding radioactive materials, both upon receipt and prior to administration.

Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist [CNMT/ARRT-N Certification] - required within 90 days
• Radiologic Technologist [Nuclear Medicine - State License] - required
• Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - required within 90 days

Nuclear Medicine Tech experience with multiple patient populations 1-2 years preferred
