The Danvers facility is a cornerstone of Medtronic's Cardiovascular and Neuroscience businesses, supporting 11 of the 16 Operating Units in Medtronic. Danvers is also a vertically integrated supplier to many of the Medtronic facilities around the world. As the Senior Manufacturing Manager, you will plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of the value stream and its associated processes at the enterprise level.
You'll guide day‑to‑day execution and long‑term strategy in a highly collaborative environment. You will ensure alignment with company objectives and operating budgets while meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. This includes leading and coordinating activities across a cross functional team spanning engineering, purchasing, scheduling, manufacturing, operational excellence and in process quality functions.
In person collaboration is essential to our work. We operate onsite five days a week to foster professional growth, strengthen cross functional partnerships, and accelerate our ability to engineer the extraordinary.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
* Serve as a catalyst for employee safety - driving a culture where proactive risk reduction, continuous improvement, and uncompromising safety standards are embedded in every process, every decision, and every team interaction.
* Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
* Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
* Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
* Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
* Develops schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas.
* Embrace the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) and implement One Best Way practices to improve local manufacturing and business processes.
* Conduct daily Gemba walks to observe & understand the health of the overall system, processes & workflows to understand the key opportunities and where to best direct short, medium and long-term improvement activity & resources.
