Medical Assistant - Dermatology
MFM Health is looking for an enthusiastic, patient‑focused individual for a Medical Assistant role to support our Dermatology department. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and exemplary customer service skills, with the abilities to multitask and work as a team.

- Patient Care
- Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for visits.
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications as directed and ensure proper documentation.
- Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow‑up care.
- Medical Record Management
- Document appropriate information in EMR regarding patient’s HPI, current medications, allergies, etc. and maintain confidentiality.
- Prepare medical charts for patient visits and ensure completeness.
- Clinical Support
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Preparing patients and assisting providers with examinations and procedures (biopsies, excisions, ED&Cs, lightbox treatments, PDT, suture removals).
- Helping providers with cosmetic procedures, such as Botox and laser treatments.
- Monitor and ensure inventory of medical supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Patient Communication
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a comforting environment for patients.
- Answer patient questions, address concerns, and relay messages to healthcare providers.
- Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and privacy laws (HIPAA).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with infection control measures and ensure proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Full‑time, M‑F
- $20 to $24 per hour
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Medical Assistant 2 years (Preferred)
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Patient care: 2 years (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- Dermatology experience is preferred but not required
- Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of strict sterile techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Compassionate and dedicated to patient care.
