Who Is This Role Great For?
  • Individuals pursuing education in psychology, social services, early education, or behavior sciences, or with experience as daycare/preschool workers, paraprofessionals, DSPs, nannies, babysitters, or anyone who loves working with children.
What Happens After I Apply?
  • A recruiter will reach out to schedule a 30 minute virtual interview, followed by an on‑site interview and a shadowing session at the local Bierman center.
Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician
  • Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients.
  • Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
  • Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about the client’s progress (with guidance from the BCBA).
  • Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
  • Maintain functional and technical knowledge through required trainings.
  • Follow the guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) if not already certified.
  • Foster a positive working environment.
Requirements – Basic & Essential Functions
  • Lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds.
  • Assume necessary postures (kneeling, squatting, etc.) for extended periods.
  • Maintain a three‑foot distance while walking or running to chase clients.
  • Attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
  • Use manual dexterity for computer and device functions for data collection and documentation.
  • Transfer written data to electronic files or database systems.
  • Assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space, including toys and furniture.
  • Administer medication to clients, if applicable.
Additional

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail‑oriented and flexible.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and adaptability to meet team and client needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with children aged 2‑12 in classrooms, day cares, 1:1 settings, or instructional childcare.
  • Experience with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Salary
