Mental Health Counselor
Night shift: 11p-7a; 24 hours/week.
Assignment DetailsContract length: 13 weeks; guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field required.
- Must be in good standing with previous employer.
- Assist in the admitting, discharging, and transferring process while ensuring patient safety.
- Perform case management duties, including one-on-one client contact and collaboration with service providers.
- Contribute to assessment and planning processes, including crisis prevention and discharge planning.
- Provide peer support and psycho-education as needed.
- Act as a liaison with various stakeholders to maintain effective communication.
- Lead or co-lead psycho-educational groups.
- Monitor the patient environment for safety issues and promote a therapeutic atmosphere.
