A manufacturing firm north of Boston is hiring a HR Payroll Specialist to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for a broad range of responsibilities including benefits and compliance, payroll, HRIS management, orientation, onboarding/off-boarding, training, administrative support for all functions associated with these disciplines, as well as updating internal policies and procedures. This role will play an essential role in enhancing employee experience & engagement.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills while maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, maintaining accurate records for hires, terminations, compensation changes, taxes, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare payroll and HR reports and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support recruiting and onboarding activities, including new hire documentation and orientation coordination.
- Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies; assist with benefits administration and vendor coordination.
- Maintain HRIS data and employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with compliance audits, training initiatives, employee engagement programs, and ongoing process improvements.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide general HR administrative support as needed.
- 2+ years of experience in HR and payroll support or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
- $75k-95k
