Role:
Project Manager - commercial construction
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role will serve as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and design teams while managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and project execution. The ideal candidate will have strong construction management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Project Management:
Manage day-to-day construction operations across multiple projects from planning to closeout - Scheduling:
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules and ensure timely execution - Budget & Financial Control:
Manage project budgets, cost tracking, financial reporting, and cost-to-complete analysis - Subcontractor Management:
Prepare, issue, and manage subcontract agreements and scopes of work - Client & Consultant Coordination:
Act as primary liaison for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors - Meetings & Reporting:
Lead OAC meetings, internal project reviews, and progress reporting - Contract Management:
Review prime contracts, insurance requirements, and project documentation compliance - Change Management:
Handle change orders, value engineering, and allowance reconciliation - Quality & Safety:
Ensure QA/QC standards and safety protocols are enforced on all job sites - Risk Management:
Identify project risks and support contract negotiations and decision-making - Team Leadership:
Mentor and support project team members and foster high-performance collaboration
- 5+ years of commercial construction or construction management experience
- Strong experience in project management within construction environments
- Experience managing budgets, scheduling, and subcontractor scopes of work
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Experience with project financial tracking and cost reporting
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Procore, Out Build, Microsoft Word, Excel, and MS Project
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work onsite in Danvers, MA and relocate if required
- Onsite construction project environments
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- Client-facing leadership role
- Multi-project coordination responsibility
