Role Description The Shipper/Receiver/Courier is a full-time, on-site role based in Danvers, MA. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming materials; preparing, packaging, and shipping outgoing orders; and maintaining accurate inventory and shipping records. The Shipper/Receiver/Courier will coordinate with production and purchasing teams to ensure materials are available when needed, label and stage items for fabrication or delivery, and operate basic material handling equipment in a safe manner.

The position may also include local courier duties, such as delivering parts or documents to customers, vendors, or other company locations, while adhering to company and regulatory safety standards. Daily responsibilities require attention to detail, consistent communication, and reliable time management in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying orders, inspecting materials, and preparing documentation with the QA/QC department and Project Management team.
  • Experience with inventory control, recordkeeping, and basic data entry using shipping or ERP software.
  • Skill in safe material handling, including use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts (forklift certification is a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; comfortable performing local courier deliveries.
  • DOT Medical Examiners Certificate, CDL (or equivalent), or prior experience with operating large trucks preferred.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for working with manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing teams.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required and stand for extended periods; commitment to safety practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in shipping/receiving or logistics in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
