The Manager, Production leads the daily operations of manufacturing by managing schedules, resources, and staff to meet production targets. This role ensures adherence to QSR standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and supports cross-functional collaboration for efficient and compliant product delivery and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and coach manufacturing operations staff and supervisors to achieve operational and business objectives
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, continuous improvement, and high performance
- Drive a proactive safety culture by leading risk identification, near-miss reporting, and corrective action implementation and ensure compliance with all EHS, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with quality standards, company, and regulatory expectations
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure accurate and compliant documentation.
- Own and monitor area KPIs and work proactively to improve those KPIs, including but not limited to Safety, Quality, Delivery, cost and inventory.
- Ensure execution of production plans and reliable on-time product delivery.
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
- Manage staffing, equipment, materials, and budgets to meet operational goals.
- Identify and implement productivity, efficiency, and cost improvement opportunities.
- Own capacity planning, inventory management, and business continuity activities.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functions to establish a culture of excellence in execution, continuous improvement, and communication within production facilities
- Support implementation of new products, processes, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.
- Communicate performance, risks, and improvement opportunities to site leadership.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Experience and
Education:
- BS preferred; equivalent experience considered
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing (medical device and cleanroom environment preferred)
- 3 years of leadership experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses and Affiliations:
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Demonstrated critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled in judgment and decision-making to drive results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Black Belt certification preferred
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $102,000-$177,000.
