Eliot is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. CCS program is a twenty-four hour program designed to stabilize and support adults in psychiatric distress. This program is an alternative to hospitalization providing assessment and treatment delivering short term care in a structured and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly establish rapport with a wide range of clinical presentations and a diverse spectrum of clients.
Knowledge of crisis intervention and engagement strategies is ideal.
- Provide supports/interventions that focus on maintaining clients at program to address behavioral health needs.
- Conduct medical monitoring protocols providing education and consultation to the clients, families and staff.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the practitioner; monitor clients for therapeutic and adverse effects consulting with medical team as needed
- Accurately complete all medication administration documentation
- Obtain written or verbal physician orders from on-site or on-call practitioner
- Collaborate with prescribing practitioner and community physicians to support coordinated treatment planning and ensure continuity of medical care
- Participate in daily psychiatric rounds, contributing to treatment plan development or revision, and ensure the implementation of physician orders
- Associates degree in Nursing or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience with population
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Valid Driver's License
