Monday–Friday | 7:30am–1:30pm or 8:00am–2:00pm

1:1 Residential Program Role

Northeast Arc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support individuals living in our Burlington residential program. In this role, you will deliver high-quality direct care, monitor health needs, and collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of this female individual you support. This position adheres to the Massachusetts Nurse Practice Act and Northeast Arc policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care following the individual’s established plan of care.
  • Monitor medical status, identify changes, and report to the on-call RN as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the home and community to support continuity of care.
  • Administer prescribed medications, ensure proper storage, and complete narcotic counts with MAP-certified or licensed personnel at shift changes.
  • Apply nursing knowledge in the safe delivery of preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Director, RN Case Manager, and direct support staff.
  • Communicate professionally through meetings, written documentation, email, and phone calls.
  • Accompany individuals to physician appointments, community outings, and other assigned activities.
  • Provide health-related in-service training for staff and oversee ADLs and other health routines.
  • Maintain required licensure and certifications (CPR, Universal Precautions, Human Rights, etc.).
Requirements
  • Active LPN license in Massachusetts with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a group home or residential setting.
  • Experience with multi-handicapped or developmentally disabled individuals is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
