Schedule :
Monday - Friday 1st Shift (40 hours /week)

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Nurse Coordinator is responsible for providing essential support to nursing teams by facilitating patient-centered nursing groups, completing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) consults, and assisting floor nurses with patient care. This role plays a key part in enhancing patient care through group education, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring efficient resource management in a dynamic clinical environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate Patient Nursing Groups:
    Lead and organize patient-centered nursing groups focused on education, therapeutic support, and health promotion. Tailor group sessions to meet the clinical needs of patients, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for learning and recovery.
  • Conduct MAT Consults:
    Perform Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) consults for patients with substance use disorders, collaborate with the care team to manage medications, and provide ongoing counseling and support. Maintain thorough documentation and follow-up on treatment plans.
  • Assist Floor Nurses:
    Support nursing staff on the floor by assisting with patient care tasks, including assessments, medication administration, and prioritizing care needs. Provide guidance and mentorship to improve patient outcomes and nursing workflow.
  • Resource and Staffing Management:
    Help monitor and manage nursing resources, including staff and equipment, ensuring optimal patient care delivery. Assist with staffing coordination and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Collaboration & Quality Improvement:
    Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing practices, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred, with active licensure in Massachusetts

SKILLS AND

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, with a preference for experience in group facilitation or addiction care.
  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or substance use disorder treatment is preferred.
  • Current BLS certification preferred (or must complete during orientation period).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to develop patient-focused education and therapeutic programs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Registered nurses work in Recovery Centers of America's substance use treatment facilities.
  • Registered nurses are expected to remain prepared for working long hours. They may also have to work on weekends, holidays and even during night shifts, working closely with the patients.
