Nursing Unit Manager

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Unit Manager to lead a long-term care nursing unit. As a nationally recognized leader in providing exceptional care and quality of life for our residents, we are dedicated to bringing excellence in medical care to the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned long-term care unit
  • Supervise, support, and provide direction to nurses and nursing assistants
  • Ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with their care plans
  • Monitor changes in resident conditions and communicate with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in care plan meetings and resident assessments
  • Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility policies and regulations
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance management, and ongoing education
  • Support infection-control, quality-assurance, and risk-management initiatives
  • Prepare the unit and staff for government surveys and regulatory inspections
Qualifications:
  • Active RN or LPN license in the state
  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
  • Prior supervisory or unit management experience strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations and survey requirements
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
