Position: Regional Sales Director, Great North

Position Overview

We are searching for a Region Director for the Great North region, covering Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. The Region Director will lead sales and clinical teams in the Cardiovascular portfolio, driving revenue growth and team performance across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the region’s sales activities that result in meeting annual growth and revenue objectives.
  • Lead/manage the Region Clinical Manager and collaborate on the direction and development of the region clinical consultant team.
  • Direct sales performance in the specified region.
  • Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactive performance management.
  • Develop strategies for launching new accounts and increasing penetration in existing accounts.
  • Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales.
  • Lead difficult sales negotiations, particularly with larger prospects.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to support region growth.
Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree;
    Master’s or Advanced Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space.
  • Minimum 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team, or 2+ years of Abiomed Associate Regional Director experience.
  • Ability to garner cooperation and lead diverse teams with strong emotional intelligence.
  • Strong relationship building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Judgment in choosing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of business analytics tools (preferred).
  • Ability to travel 70% within assigned area.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary range: $150,000 (eligible for competitive incentive compensation program).
  • Company car allowance via FLEET program.

  • Consolidated retirement plan (pension) and 401(k) savings plan.
  • Time‑off benefits include: vacation – 120 hours per calendar year, sick time – 40 hours per calendar year, (56 hours for Washington), holiday pay including floating holidays – 13 days per calendar year, work, personal and family time – up to 40 hours per calendar year, parental leave – 480 hours within one year of birth/adoption/foster care, condolence leave – 30 days immediate family member, 5 days extended family member, caregiver leave – 10 days, volunteer leave – 4 days, military spouse time‑off – 80 hours.
