A general maintenance worker ensures buildings and facilities are safe, functional, and compliant by performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry trades.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems to prevent failures.
- Carry out general repairs including carpentry, painting, drywall repairs, and fixing or replacing furniture, locks, and appliances.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the building exterior and interior, removing debris, painting, and pressure washing.
- Adhere to safety regulations, building codes, and security procedures such as locking doors and monitoring systems.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory of supplies.
- Experience and skills in preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Knowledge of facilities upkeep and site cleanliness.
- Awareness of safety regulations, building codes, and security procedures.
- Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Experience with HVAC repair.
Base Pay Range: $38,500 - $61,985 per year.
Benefits include:
- Vacation: 120 hours per calendar year (140 in Colorado, 148 in Washington).
- Sick time: 40 hours per year (48 in Colorado, 56 in Washington).
- Holiday pay, floating holidays: 13 days per year.
- Work, personal and family time: up to 40 hours per year.
- Parental leave: 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child.
- Bereavement leave: 240 hours for an immediate family member; 40 hours for an extended family member per year.
- Caregiver leave: 80 hours in a 52‑week rolling period.
- Volunteer leave: 32 hours per year.
- Military spouse time‑off: 80 hours per year.
- Eligibility for long‑term incentive program.
