Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of manual and automated test plans, test cases, and scripts for embedded software per IEC 62304.
- Collaborate with embedded software engineers, hardware teams, and systems engineers to identify testing requirements and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage small to mid‑size projects of varying complexities.
- Work with internal and external partner resources to test and support release software in a timely manner per SOPs.
- Enhance test automation framework and CI/CD pipelines to improve testing efficiency and coverage of embedded software, firmware, and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and technicians to design and develop test fixtures.
- Mentor junior team members on testing techniques, tools, and quality assurance practices.
- Perform root cause analysis on software failures and collaborate on corrective actions.
- • M.S. in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent engineering field.
- • 6+ years of manual and automated testing experience on an embedded platform with a real‑time operating system (micro‑controller, microprocessor).
- • 2+ years of experience writing/scripting Python and Windows shell programming.
- • Good understanding of FDA 524B cybersecurity guidelines.
- • Prior experience designing fixtures and tools for test automation.
- • Familiarity with behavior‑driven software development & automation testing.
- • Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins, Jama, Gitlab, and other Dev Ops applications.
- • Comfortable with system‑level troubleshooting using electrical and software tools.
- • Knowledge of QNX is a plus.
- • Experience in the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
- • Working knowledge of cardiovascular physiology is a plus.
- • Willing to travel 5% of the time to meet with customers.
- • Highly collaborative with excellent communication and analytical skills.
- • Self‑motivated and willing to learn and explore new technologies.
- • Independent, efficient, and able to manage competing priorities.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $115,000 to $197,800.
Eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the applicable plan. Employees may also participate in company‑sponsored employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, business accident insurance, group legal insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.
Eligible for the company’s long‑term incentive program and time‑off benefits: vacation up to 120 hours per year, sick time up to 40 hours per year (56 hours for Washington state residents), holidays up to 13 days per year, and work, personal, and family time up to 40 hours per year.
