Aya Education is seeking a Travel Special Education Teacher (Mod/Severe) to provide high-quality instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities across partner school sites. You will develop and implement IEP-aligned lessons, adapt curriculum, and collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. Responsibilities include progress monitoring, behavior support, data-driven instruction, and compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
As a travel educator, you'll flexibly support multiple campuses, model inclusive practices, and contribute to innovative, learner-centered programs that improve student outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities across multiple school sites.
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs, ensuring compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs.
- Collect and analyze student data to drive instruction and document progress toward IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote inclusive practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and supports.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and maintain a safe, structured classroom environment.
- Travel between assigned campuses, flexibly responding to school needs and service schedules.
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff trainings, and professional development offered by Aya Education.
- Contribute feedback to improve curricula, tools, and supports for students with complex needs.
