LVN​/LPT Nurse Temp

Evolve Treatment Centers is hiring for a Temp LVN/LPT at our facility in Danville, CA. Our team provides cutting‑edge residential and outpatient treatment to adolescents struggling with addiction and mental illness. We are looking for candidates who can stay calm during stressful situations, take initiative, and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.

• Direct patient care and assessment; including reporting observed changes in mental status or physical condition, responding to emergencies, and monitoring safety risks.
• Complete documentation efficiently and timely, including nursing assessments and transcription of MD’s phone orders.
• Knowledge of medication administration records and vital‑sign monitoring.
• Attendance and participation in treatment‑planning and professional staff meetings.
• Call and pick‑up medications at the pharmacy.
• Provide in‑service training to technical staff on medications, documentation, and vital‑sign monitoring.
• Provide ongoing patient education on medications and other health issues, including hygiene.
• Monitor supplies and report needs to the Facility Manager.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and educational support to patients and families.
• Resolve patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; call for assistance from healthcare support personnel.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures.
• Maintain continuity among nurses by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to the weekend nurse.

• Psychiatric medications and their side effects.
• Basic first aid and life‑saving skills.

• Speak with clients and parents in a compassionate and patient manner.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.
• Assess emergency situations and delegate responsibilities to staff.
• Work with a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Exercise independent judgment and leadership; analyze situations accurately and take effective action.
• Make decisions and handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism.

• Valid California Nursing License (LVN/LPT).
• Current CPR/BLS card.
• Minimum of one year experience as a working nurse; psych or chemical dependence background preferred.
• Good communication skills and basic computer literacy.

This is a full‑time, onsite position. Pay rate: $80,000–$85,000. Please note this is a temporary position.
