Nursing Supervisor (RN) - ICU

This full-time nursing leadership role reports to the Nursing Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process.

• Maintaining professional licensure and adherence to all regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Assessing staffing needs based on patient acuity and ensuring safe, competent care.
• Supporting staff performance evaluations, goal setting, and professional development through orientation and education programs.
• Participating in hiring, scheduling, quality improvement projects, and budget management.
• Developing multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans, ensuring patient safety, and providing compassionate support to patients and families.
• Executing nursing interventions, delegating tasks appropriately, and documenting care accurately.
• Ensuring compliance with safety protocols, emergency procedures, and confidentiality standards.
• Engaging in committee activities, performance improvement, and organizational initiatives.
• Demonstrating leadership qualities such as initiative, conflict resolution, and fostering positive morale.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (preferred), at least three years of recent acute care experience with ICU or supervisory background, and current California RN license. Certifications required are BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with additional certificates like CCRN preferred. Knowledge of age-specific care, safety protocols, and effective communication are essential for success in this role.
