Accountability Objective
- The Resource Room Asst/One Stop Operator is responsible for assisting clients in the resource room and assisting all administrative staff and partner agencies with American Job Center.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree; 3-5 years of customer service experience;
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines;
Strong organizational skills;
Experience in Microsoft Office and Internet;
Ability and willingness to communicate fairly, honestly, clearly, and effectively in speech and writing
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree;
Knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Essential Job Function
Assists with client flow in the American Job Center
Provide assistance with resume building and paper processing in the resource room.
Provides career information in the resource room, including non-traditional career options.
Assists partner agencies with appropriate and required participant paperwork to ensure timely processing.
Assist customers with job search activities including but not limited to resume writing, cover letters, and interview skills in the resource room on a regular basis.
Assists administrative staff with daily, weekly, and monthly reports and operations of the American Job Center
Assist all partner agencies with visitors in the American Job Center.
Assists individuals with resource room activity and helps to maintain a professional job search atmosphere. Maintain a resource room utilizing innovative ideas to link job seekers with in-demand careers.
Assists with assessment activities as appropriate.
Refers and assists with tracking participants, as appropriate, to community, social and advisory agencies, for financial, stress and/or mental health services, etc.
Data entry of traffic flow in partner agency case management/reporting systems
Perform administrative and secretarial duties as required by the administrative staff
Ability to create professional correspondence with community members, board members, and employers as needed.
Design and distribute the quarterly Vermilion County workforce newsletter in collaboration with our American Job Center partners and Vermilion County employers.
Assumes other duties as assigned.
