Head Start Teacher is responsible for providing leadership in the classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early Learning Standards. The Teacher creates a positive learning environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that lead to future school success. Our culture requires teaching staff to ensure a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming environment every day and fosters a sense of belonging and safety for staff, families, and children.
Qualifications- Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and criminal background check.
- Must have an AA or BS in Early Childhood Education.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Demonstrated exemplary attendance and dependability is required.
- Ability to practice inclusivity and civility at all times.

Starting Hourly Wage:
- $19.00 - $20.00 (CDA)
- $20.00 - $21.00 (AA)
- $25.00 - $26.00 (BA)
- $26.91 - $27.91 (MS)
- DOQ (Depending on Qualifications)
