Your ResponsibilitiesForging Engineering Manager for thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company, LLC in Danville, Illinois. Duties include overseeing all Forging Engineering functions including process, and product engineering and product engineering-related projects for forging; overseeing development of forge tooling designs for new parts, improving designs for existing parts, and coordinating with customer on full life cycle of parts; observing processes, monitoring product from start to finish and providing direction;
leading process qualification and validation activities for new products and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards; improving operational performance by identifying quality and customer needs, and directing team to identify and diagnose customer, process, and quality problems; collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements and resolve technical challenges; planning, assigning, and distributing work; and establishing priorities, providing direction to team, and training team in methods and procedures.
Profile
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, related field, or equivalent foreign degree. 3 years of work experience as a Forging, Process, or Design Engineer. Must have 3 years of work experience with each of the following: thermal dynamics and forging processes; identifying areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity; leading process qualification and validation activities for new products, and ensuring compliance with industry standards;
researching forging industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, and incorporating them into manufacturing process; and generating Process Engineering Change notices for internal and external customer design changes.
Salary Range: $102,086 to $112,000 per year.
