American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with IL PTA licensure and 1+ year of relevant experience for a therapy position in Danville, IL.
Requirements- IL PTA license required (if applicable)
- BLS-AHA certification required
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required
- Minimum one year of relevant experience required
- Experience with clinical documentation and teaching methods required
- Experience with therapy EMR charting required
- Work in an outpatient therapy department implementing treatment plans established by the supervising physical therapist
- Treat patients of all ages using therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy
- Utilize a therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with no weekend or holiday shifts required
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods
- Adjust treatment based on patient response after communicating with and documenting coordination with the evaluating therapist
- Communicate with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Complete documentation in accordance with facility clinical documentation policy
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this position
