Systems Administrator

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the design, implementation, and ongoing support of new software and features.
• Install and update network system improvements as needed.
• Set up equipment for new users.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to systems and data.
• Modify configurations, utilities, software, and other elements as needed.
• Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed.
• Assist with Servers, LAN/WAN technologies, computer repair/troubleshooting software, networks, virus protection, Wi‑Fi technology, and more.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and threats.
• Implement and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to protect against unauthorized access.

Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM with on‑call responsibilities.

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in an IT related field.
• Proficiency in networking protocols, LAN/WAN management, network security, VPN configuration, and firewall management.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in an IT related field.
• Previous experience as a help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support preferred.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications, preferred.
• Previous experience in troubleshooting and managing large‑scale network infrastructures preferred.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., Azure), network monitoring tools and virtualized environments, preferred.
