Manufacturing Engineer
Danville Metal Stamping Co., Inc. is hiring for entry-level Manufacturing Engineers. Manufacturing Engineers are responsible for the development of processes required to successfully fabricate aerospace engine parts.
Essential functions of the position include:
- Develops the processes required to successfully manufacture parts to the customers’ specifications
- Functions as the point of contact for our customers as it relates to the manufacturing of our parts
- Resolves manufacturing process problems related to assigned part families
- Drives process improvement initiatives related to assigned part families
- Supports employees throughout the production processes
- Reads and interprets blueprints
- Uses precision measurement equipment
- Daily use of computer and specific software programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, IFS, Unigraphics
- Daily communication with employees at all levels of the organization and customers
- Sitting up to 6 hours per day
- Walking and/or standing up to 3 hours per day
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications for the position include:
- Prior experience and/or education in the engineering field is required
- Proficiency with computer aided 2-D and 3-D design of complex 3-dimensional contours
- Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes that are needed to fabricate products
- Demonstrated dedication to understanding and applying lean manufacturing principles
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills is preferred
Compensation & Benefits Summary
- Pay Range: $55,000-$75,000/yr.
