PSM Group Leader – thyssenkrupp Crankshaft Company, LLC, Danville, Illinois Responsibilities

  • 10% domestic travel
  • Direct and oversee the purchasing organization and material/production planning
  • Lead supply chain activities to optimize the operating unit and ensure conformance to policies and objectives
  • Identify competitive strategies and adjust the organization’s supply‑chain programs accordingly
  • Direct Buyers and supervise shared‑services personnel, coordinating activities between groups
  • Review purchasing agreements and define and evaluate the performance of assigned KPIs
  • Manage the budget for the purchasing team and oversee supplier management
  • Negotiate major agreement terms and vendor agreements
  • Communicate with line operators about production issues and meet customer requests
  • Lead shutdowns from a Supply Chain perspective
  • Oversee onboarding of new plants in terms of material/production planning and purchasing
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent foreign degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Buyer, Supply Chain or Logistics position, or a related role in heavy‑duty diesel crankshaft manufacturing industry
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with the following: procurement of direct materials, strategic sourcing for Maintenance Repair and Operating Inventory materials, negotiating long‑term contracts with logistics and transportation suppliers, and collaborating with product engineers for technical compliance
  • Salary: $89,627 - $95,000 per year
