We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated Women’s Health team providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive pay, strong clinical support, and a collaborative environment focused on safe, family-centered care.
Compensation & BenefitsBase Pay: $32.94 – $49.38 per hour (based on experience)
Night Differential: +$4.00/hour
Weekend Differential: +$3.25/hour
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000 with a 2-year commitment

The Labor & Delivery RN provides comprehensive care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum process. The RN works collaboratively with obstetricians, pediatric providers, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure safe outcomes for both mother and baby.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care to laboring mothers and newborns
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
Assist physicians during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Perform neonatal stabilization and care when needed
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
5 Labor & Delivery Beds
2 Operating Rooms dedicated for C-Sections
1 L&D Triage Bed
Postpartum Unit:
3 Single Postpartum Rooms
4 Double Rooms (used as single patient rooms with support person accommodations)
Approximately 250 births per year
Daily census varies
1:1 Active Labor
Up to 1:3 Antepartum / Triage / Early Labor
1:6 Mother–Baby
Labor and delivery
Antepartum care
Postpartum recovery
Gynecologic surgical patients
Neonatal care
Active Illinois RN License
Minimum 1 year of experience in OB or Labor & Delivery (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Fetal Monitoring Competency (renewed every 2 years)
PALS
AWHONN certification
Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and neonatal care
Ability to remain calm in fast-paced environments
Excellent patient education and communication skills
Passion for maternal and newborn health
