The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
Qualifications- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
- College Diploma in Nursing
- Work experience as described (not specified)
- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
- Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.
- Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists Nursing Supervisor in the development of departmental standing orders as directed.
- High risk phone call triage – suicide calls, safety checks.
- Assists with social work issues – medication payments, assistance with setting up multiple psychiatric/psychology appointments.
- Forms/letters for FMLA, school or work.
- Refill line – retrieves patient information from phone line and starts a message in EPIC.
- Prior authorization for psych medications, injections.
The compensation range for this position is $30.39 per hour - $52.27 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
