Overview

Sacred Heart Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our dedicated neonatal care team in Danville, Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced NNP or a new graduate with neonatal experience to provide advanced clinical care for newborns while working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

As a valued member of our neonatal team, you will play a critical role in delivering evidence-based care to neonates across a variety of clinical settings while supporting our mission of serving patients and families with excellence, compassion, and respect.

Job Specifics
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of neonatal patients.
  • Perform neonatal procedures within the scope of practice and organizational guidelines.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in neonatal resuscitations, stabilization, and ongoing management of critically ill newborns.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding treatment plans and patient progress.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely within the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve as an educational resource to staff, patients, and families.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Licensed to provide either an advanced practice nursing services in the State of Illinois as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Nurse Practice Act] OR [physician assistant services as issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in accordance with the Illinois Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 ("Act") Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and State of Illinois for prescribing of narcotics.

BLS/ALS Certified Experience is preferred however; new graduates will be considered.
