Inpatient Acute Care Rn

Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. The Inpatient Acute Care RN supports the VAIHCS mission in caring for complex veteran populations requiring inpatient medical care intervention. The incumbent supports multiple care units within these patient populations including acute care, geriatrics, and mental health. The incumbent requires skilled nursing care for patients requiring 24/7 observation. The incumbent must have sound clinical judgment and ability to adapt to changing work environment and flexibility with patient care assignments.

The Inpatient Acute Care RN will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, professional governance, Relationship Based Care and High Reliability Organization (HRO) models of care as part of personal and professional development goals. The individual is responsible for providing competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients with oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants as appropriate to the setting. The individual will assist in directing the provision of nursing education/orientation/competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
