This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who is passionate about helping students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially through direct counseling, restorative practices, and social‑emotional learning (SEL) programming.
The Social Worker will provide individual and group support services, collaborate with staff and families, and help foster safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments for students across our program sites.

Position Summary The Social Worker will provide direct mental health and SEL services to students participating in Project Success programming. Responsibilities include counseling, crisis intervention, restorative practices, case coordination, and staff training. The position works closely with Site Coordinators, families, schools, and community partners to ensure students receive holistic and responsive support.
This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Licensed Specialist.
Key Responsibilities Direct Student Services
- Provide Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) programming at designated program sites
- Deliver individual and small‑group counseling services to students with identified social, emotional, or behavioral needs
- Provide crisis intervention and short‑term mental health support as needed
- Promote student awareness of mental health, coping skills, wellness, and self‑care strategies
- Collaborate with Site Coordinators to identify students needing additional support and develop intervention plans
- Work collaboratively with program staff, schools, families, and community partners to support student success
- Connect students and families with appropriate community‑based mental health and support services
- Support implementation of trauma‑informed and restorative practices throughout agency programming
- Lead and support restorative discipline initiatives and practices
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential service records
- Collect and report program outcomes and service data as required
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Develop and facilitate staff training related to SEL, trauma‑informed care, and mental health awareness
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities
- Complete all required employee trainings and comply with agency policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Success leadership team
- Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor
- Experience working with youth in school, after‑school, or community‑based settings
- Knowledge of trauma‑informed care, restorative practices, and SEL frameworks
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to effectively engage and support diverse populations and communities
- Experience facilitating groups, workshops, and staff trainings preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
