Elementary ENL Teacher

Responsibilities:

* To work with both teachers and students to support academic and social English language development

* Provide instructional strategies on the integration of EL best practices into everyday classroom environments

* Use English Language Proficiency assessments and progress monitoring tools to develop, implement and monitor

a comprehensive ML program

* Serve as Teacher of Record for ILP's of ML students

* Understanding of curriculum development, differentiation of instruction, use of formative and summative

assessment data to drive instruction and effective use of technology

* Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively electronically, orally, and in writing

* Use curriculum maps, and other district resources to prepare lessons, considering factors, such as individual

needs, abilities, learning levels, learning styles, and physical limitations of students

* Participate in faculty and professional meetings, professional development experiences, education conferences,

and teacher training workshops

* Effectively collaborate with teaching colleagues and administrators on best practices

* Perform other duties as assigned
