Mechanical Drafter / Cad Designer
The Mechanical Drafter / CAD Designer will support the engineering team by creating detailed manufacturing drawings, process drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials for custom industrial equipment. This individual will collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are accurate, functional, and production-ready.
Key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
- Generate fabrication, assembly, and process drawings
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Support engineering changes and design improvements
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and purchasing teams
- Assist with prototype development and continuous improvement projects
Ideal background includes:
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, Creo, or similar 3D CAD software
- Understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes
- Exposure to industrial equipment, process piping, plumbing systems, or sanitary piping is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Desire to learn and grow within a mechanical engineering environment

Job type and location:
This is a contract to hire position based out of Danville, IN.
Pay and benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
