Responsibilities
- Perform air emissions testing and monitoring at industrial and manufacturing client sites in accordance with established EPA procedures and regulatory standards.
- Transport testing equipment to job sites using company vehicles, ensuring safe handling and proper loading and unloading of all equipment.
- Set up, operate, and break down air emissions testing equipment at client facilities, following detailed technical instructions and safety guidelines.
- Record test data accurately and collect air and emissions samples as required for environmental analysis and reporting.
- Calibrate testing equipment to ensure accurate measurements and reliable test results before and during field operations.
- Assist engineers with air quality testing procedures, including equipment setup, sample collection, and documentation of test conditions.
- Follow environmental, health, and safety protocols at all times, including site-specific safety rules and OSHA guidelines.
- Organize, stage, and load testing equipment into vehicles in preparation for upcoming jobs, ensuring all required tools and materials are available.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment to keep it in good working condition and ready for field deployment.
- Use company‑provided resources and training materials to study for and obtain certifications for EPA Test Methods 1–5.
- Work collaboratively as part of a field team, communicating clearly with colleagues and supporting efficient and safe project execution.
- Carry out general office and warehouse tasks on non-field days, including data analysis and management, laying out and preparing testing equipment, loading vehicles, and performing miscellaneous cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Preferred B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in an environmental field testing, industrial, construction, landscaping, or other hands‑on role is preferred.
- Comfort working in a field‑based environment and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds as part of equipment handling and setup activities.
- Strong team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10‑hour certification through company‑provided training.
- Interest in environmental testing, air quality, and compliance field work.
- Reliable record‑keeping skills and attention to detail when documenting test data and sample information.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danville, IN.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
