Elementary Guidance Counselor; Temporary

Position: Elementary Guidance Counselor (Temporary)
Essential Functions:

● Provides academic, social, and behavioral support in a variety of environments.
● Assists teachers and administrators in planning and implementing individual behavior intervention plans.
● Creates and leads support and social groups
● Collects data on targeted behaviors and teaches replacement behaviors.
● Collaborates with classroom staff to develop hypotheses, strategies, and implement plans including establishing effective reinforcers, necessary environmental supports, methods of data collection, timelines for data collection, and analysis of the data.
● Works with administration in necessary child protective service situations
● Leads regular data team meetings to review behavioral data and adapt intervention plan when necessary.
● Follows non-violent crisis intervention techniques to prevent or deescalate crisis situations.
● Maintains logs of services provided and documentation.
● Assists in conducting functional behavioral analysis.
● Organizes and leads all state-wide required testing
● Organizes and leads career development initiatives
● Any other duties as assigned
