Position Summary
The Program and Operations Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and program support for Leadership Hendricks County. This role helps ensure the successful delivery of programs, events, communications, participant engagement, and organizational operations.
Working closely with the Executive Director, the Coordinator supports Leadership Hendricks County's mission of developing informed, connected, and engaged community leaders. The position serves as a key point of contact for participants, alumni, volunteers, and community partners.
This role is designed as a professional growth opportunity with a pathway toward increased responsibilities in program facilitation, community engagement, and fundraising support. During the first year, the Coordinator will support and observe program facilitation, including Ember, with opportunities to assume greater leadership responsibilities over time.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide administrative support for programs, events, and daily operations.
- Coordinate participant communications, registrations, scheduling, logistics, and event planning.
- Maintain program records, databases, alumni information, and documentation.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of participants, volunteers, alumni, and community partners.
- Assist with planning and execution of organizational events and leadership programs, including Ember.
- Observe and support program facilitation while developing skills to lead future programs.
- Represent Leadership Hendricks County at events and community activities.
- Support community outreach and relationship-building efforts.
- Assist with fundraising activities, donor stewardship, sponsorship engagement, and grant support.
- Support marketing and communications through newsletters, social media, website updates, and promotional materials.
- Assist with financial and administrative functions, including reporting and recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with staff, board members, committees, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and database systems.
- Experience in nonprofit, education, leadership development, or community engagement settings.
- Experience with event coordination, volunteer management, fundraising, or participant engagement.
Interest in leadership development, facilitation, and community leadership.
- Hybrid work arrangement opportunity with emphasis on office.
- Occasional evening and weekend attendance at programs and events.
- Ability to perform routine physical activities and lift up to 15 pounds.
