Accountant, Financial Reporting

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations within a healthcare environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and reporting requirements.

• Prepare and post journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including cash, prepaid expenses, and accruals
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal reporting
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific regulations
• Analyze variances and provide insight into financial performance
• Partner with operational teams to support financial decision-making
• Assist with audits, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience (healthcare experience preferred)
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, Oracle, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Experience in healthcare, hospital systems, or medical practices
• Familiarity with revenue cycle

• CPA or CPA-track is a plus
