* Essential Functions:

*
* + Receive, sort, and process mail documents, packages, and supplies; notify recipients as needed

+ Deliver and pick up mail on scheduled runs

+ Record and process accountable mail information and maintain logs

+ Track, trace, and resolve mail issues with USPS, express carriers, and local delivery services

+ Prepare mail and packages for external shipment and coordinate deliveries and pickups, including USPS pickup/delivery when required

+ Perform quality checks on outbound mail and validate internal mail addresses

+ Conduct barcode address lookup and barcode tracking or face scanning of incoming mail and packages

+ Utilize common mail services including fax, air express, and postal services

+ Complete shipping forms and/or enter shipment information electronically into shipping terminals according to job tickets

+ Perform document finishing work including folding, insertion, assembly, packaging, shipping, and tracking of materials

+ Process electronic mail distribution including opening, scanning, mail preparation, and distribution

+ Perform fulfillment functions for kitted materials and packaged items

+ Follow all mailroom security procedures and operational guidelines

+ Log, transmit, receive, and distribute faxes in a timely manner

+ Use automated shipping and receiving systems to track and manage activity

+ Monitor, order, and replenish supplies inventory related to mail and distribution activities

+ Send and receive email communications related to daily operations

+ Arrange alternative courier or shipping services to meet customer requirements

+ Operate, clean, and maintain all mailroom and shipping equipment

+ Contact service providers for mail and shipping equipment maintenance when necessary

+ Determine appropriate output packaging according to packaging standards and procedures

+ Perform driving duties if required

+ Utilize mail equipment and systems per training, including:

+ Finishing equipment

+ Inserters

+ Postage meters

+ Envelope printers

+ Scales

+ Pitney Bowes Mail Management systems

+ Fed Ex shipping systems

* Skills:

*
* + Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

+ Ability to read, write, and follow English instructions

+ Basic PC and internet proficiency, including:

+ Opening applications

+ Creating and locating file folders

+ Finding, opening, renaming, deleting, and recovering files

+ Sending and managing email communications and attachments

+ Basic internet navigation and website usage

+ Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Word or equivalent

+ Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Excel or equivalent

+ Strong customer service and communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

+ Accurate data entry skills and attention to detail

* + Experience delivering services in a client environment preferred

+ Previous mailroom, shipping/receiving, fulfillment, or document finishing experience is a plus

High School diploma or equivalent
