Manufacturing Engineer

Talascend is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Danville, Kentucky.

Overview

As a senior advanced manufacturing engineer, you will be part of a team dedicated to improving efficiency and consistency in manufacturing processes. You will leverage your manufacturing engineering experience to lead investigations, develop solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications are met and operational excellence is achieved.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication and assembly processes.
• Capital acquisition.
• Automation, digital factory.
• Able to identify, plan, and execute strategic projects.
• Interpret and apply product specifications.
• Review quality output and coach team improvements.
• Collaborate with customers.
• Project planning and execution oversight.
• Resource management in a dynamic environment.
• Organic growth with productivity projects and factory optimization.
• Root cause problem solving and solution implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Five years of industrial, advanced, or manufacturing engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of the field's standards and specifications.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to focus on important information and identify key details.
• Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on tasks.
• Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Self-motivated individuals able to work with little supervision.
• Willingness to consistently take initiative.
• Significant relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
• Lean manufacturing, process mapping, value stream mapping, green belt or higher.
