Maintenance Technician - Level 2

Location: Danville, KY

Onsite Flexibility: Onsite

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 10 months
  • Pay Rate: $26.00 $ 27.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, with occasional on-call (minimum 4 hours paid OT)

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The candidate will be working independently in a manufacturing plant environment, with daily work assigned via a work order management system and various added tasks.

Key

Responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems; exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
  • Complete daily work assigned via work order management system and various added tasks from the Hiring Manager.
  • Perform weekly visual inspections.
  • Conduct eye wash station inspections.
  • Escort vendors as required.
  • Perform general office maintenance.

Preferred Skills
  • Minor HVAC experience, including changing belts
  • Trade school diploma (a plus)
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
Required Experience
  • 2 4 years of job-related maintenance experience
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Manufacturing plant environment
  • Candidate will work independently
  • Must meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders
  • Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
  • Occasional on-call with a minimum of 4 hours paid overtime
  • Background check required (CBRE Safety Specific, with drug screen)
