This position is in the Hobart Warewash Division at its Danville, Kentucky facility, located 45 minutes south of Lexington, Kentucky.
Job DescriptionThe Warewash Business Division produces Hobart brand commercial dishwashers that are used in hotels, casinos, restaurants, cruise ships, schools, universities and retail establishments. We are the industry leader and are seeking to expand our growth in existing served markets as well as new markets.
Responsibilities- Follows all company safety rules and policies.
- Operate Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machines.
- Operate various manual sheet metal formers (tube benders, laser metal cutter, presses, grinders, spot welders & stud welders).
- Read shop blueprint drawings for fabrication specifications and job safety analysis work instructions to determine various parts to be fabricated/installed/assembled or by instructions of supervisor.
- Inspect products and processes during job duties to ensure all work meets or exceeds standards of the company’s quality program.
- Work cooperatively and congenially with co‑workers to achieve cohesive and productive work processes and work environment.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management or as the situation requires (e.g., assembly).
- Daily inspection of fabrication PPE and equipment to ensure in good condition for safe operation before use.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Minimum of 1–3 years experience in CNC Machining or metal fabrication and finishing.
- Prefer one year of vocational school or certificate.
- Prefer CNC setup and operation of equipment to include editing programs.
- Prefer one year or more in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions regarding techniques required for general assembly work.
- Ability to grind and finish metal.
- Ability to read and understand simple blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of small hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Skilled in the use of material gauges, calipers and micrometers.
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds or knowledge of using lifts.
- Ability to communicate clearly with other co‑workers to coordinate work requirements and/or type of assemblies required.
