Become a Key Player as a Repair Station Technician
You will assemble, test, and prepare aircraft wheel and brake components to meet customer and regulatory requirements, reporting to the production supervisor. Your work directly impacts product quality, on-time shipments, and production efficiency. This is an onsite role on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) at the Danville, KY distribution center.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team
- Inspect, clean, and assemble aerospace components into final assemblies
- Perform required functional and hydraulic testing for product acceptance
- Read blueprints, specifications, and work instructions to complete assemblies
- Operate power hand tools and auxiliary machine tools after training
- Complete required documentation and computer transactions to satisfy government and customer requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and project teams
- Maintain safe work practices and observe environmental, health, and safety procedures
- Handle frequent heavy lifting and walk throughout the workday; maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, product specifications, and work instructions
- Proficiency with routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations
- Good manual dexterity for working with small parts
- Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
- Basic mathematic skills associated with discrete part manufacturing
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
