CELL LEADER

Production

This is a task driven, intermediate-level production position within the Production Department. The basic function of the position is to give directions to Production associates to safely provide Adkev, Inc. customers with quality product on time; print and dispense labels; and assist Shift Supervisor with duties as assigned. The incumbent is required to attend to all assigned duties and responsibilities (tasks) and maintain accuracy standards of production in accordance with stated requirements and IATF 16949 standards.

Required:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Required:

1 year Production Technician Experience and/or related experience.

Preferred: 1 year Auditor, Trainer or Supervisory Experience

Pallet Jack

Knowledge of areas of production to include cells, utility, trainer

Basic Math, English, PC Literate

This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time (8-12 hours); walk plant floor when needed to perform responsibilities of the job; pull skidded product manually with pallet jack; have the ability of eyesight and hearing (corrected) and full use of limbs. Communication using and held radio is required.

This position requires the ability to stoop, squat, and climb stairs and ladders; ability to lift 50 pounds; ability to perform all aspects of the job without significant accommodation. Must also be able to work at and above shoulder level for extended periods of time raising arm above shoulder height consistently to operate powered assembly tools.

Mathematics:
This position requires excellent math skills and accuracy to include SPC understanding, inventory totals, weights and measurements, and efficiency percentages.

Language:
This position requires the ability to read, write and speak English. Must write legibly. Must be able to communicate with others.

This position requires the ability to communicate with and maintain positive interpersonal skills with all members of the organization.

The Cell Leader directly reports to and is accountable to the Shift Supervisor.

The Cell Leader will have secondary reporting to the Plant Manager.

Production Technicians directly report to and are accountable to the Cell Leader for job

assignments, skill and training assessment, safety, and productivity.

• Schedule Production Techs effectively according to skill level
• Perform routine visual quality checks (approximately every 2 hours) and while giving Production Techs breaks; report any findings per procedure and correct Production Tech’s performance, notify Shift Supervisor
• Participate in QCR resolution, corrective actions and containment of defects
• Print and disperse labels at the beginning of and throughout the shift
• Verify product and material being used meets lot traceability standards
• Help to scan Denso racks as needed (Goodland Plant)
• Perform backup functions during Shift Supervisor absence from the floor
• Must be flexible, multi-task oriented and able to prioritize own tasks to complete workload in scheduled shift time per standard work.
