Job OverviewWomen’s Care of the Commonwealth seeks an RN, LPN or CMA to join our Women’s Care team as a Float CMA/LPN/RN. This role involves travel to multiple clinics or healthcare facilities on a temporary or rotating basis to provide nursing support during increased demand, staff absences, or vacancies.
Responsibilities- Consult with and keep supervisor informed of clinical activities, needs, and problems related to patient care.
- Comply with established patient care standards.
- Maintain established clinical policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe environment.
- Cooperate with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good interdepartmental and public relations.
- Greet patients and escort them to the exam room.
- Takes and records vital and patient medical information in chart.
- Prepare patient room for exam.
- Assist provider in procedures as necessary.
- Complete ordered lab procedures.
- Administer IM, Sub Q injections to include immunizations.
- Perform wound care and suture removal as directed by provider.
- Communicate results of all procedures and tests to provider.
- Discharge patient to receptionist.
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms after use.
- Restock supplies, linens, equipment, and check for defects and outdated items.
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars and educational sessions (required).
- Travel to different clinical locations as assigned, which may include different cities or towns.
- Adapt quickly to new clinic environments, work cultures, and patient care practices in each location.
- Provide seamless coverage during staff shortages or vacation periods, ensuring that all clinical areas are properly staffed and operational.
- Work with diverse healthcare teams, including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and administrative staff.
- Maintain effective communication with clinic managers and healthcare providers at each location to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
- Other duties as assigned.
- CPR Certification.
- Experience preferred.
- Licensure/Certification within good standing.
- Maintain required continuing education courses.
Full‑time position, 4-5 days per week, 100% clinic‑based, in‑person work required. Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
