What Will You Do?

A day in the life of an Operations Supervisor at VF looks a little like this.

In this position you will be responsible for the supervision of the accurate and timely operations of replenishment, picking, trouble resolution and Value-Added Services (VAS).

Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, or other powered industrial equipment to transport inventory within the distribution center.
  • Perform inventory control functions including cycle counts, physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and investigations of discrepancies.
  • Accurately record inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) or handheld scanning devices.
  • Verify product quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and locations to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support inbound and outbound operations by staging, replenishing, and relocating inventory as needed.
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving inventory variances, damaged goods, or mislocated product.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with inventory control procedures and audit requirements.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and company policies while operating equipment.
  • Assist with housekeeping and organization of inventory storage areas to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, and receiving teams to support daily operational goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What Do You Need To Succeed?

While formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2+ years of related experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • 2+ years of equivalent warehouse experience or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to accurately count, verify, and reconcile inventory
  • Careful scanning and data entry to prevent system errors
  • Identifying discrepancies in quantities, locations, or product condition
  • Following inventory processes exactly as defined
  • Knowledge of inventory locations, bin systems, and material flow
  • Familiarity with cycle counting and physical inventory processes
  • Understanding how inbound, outbound, and replenishment activities connect
  • Awareness of product handling requirements (lot control, expiration, damages)
