As a Fiscal Management Specialist 2, you will perform complex or supervisory work in monitoring and analyzing revenue and expenditures against a budget, grants, contracts, or other financial data. You will also advise management on the appropriate use and availability of funds. Your work will involve preparing and reviewing a variety of fiscal forecasts and reports that project revenue and expenditures for personnel, operating, fixed assets, or other expenses.
In this position, you will approve or recommend adjustments to requests for the use of funds, interpret financial data, and explain fiscal regulations and procedures to managers. You can expect to oversee subordinate staff and process budget revisions or other financial transactions. Some of your duties will include discussing discrepancies and ensuring compliance with policies through recommendations and adjustments. Additionally, you may prepare and review agency budget requests, legislative budget packages, and rebudgets.

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with 30‑minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $59,345 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) or
- One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
