SUMMARY OF POSITION:The oncology pharmacist is responsible for the safe, rational and cost-effective drug therapy for the cancer center patients at Hampden Medical Center. They specialize in the care of cancer patients, focusing on managing their chemotherapy medications, monitoring side effects, providing patient education, collaborating with the healthcare team to select the most appropriate treatment options, and ensuring safe and effective medication administration throughout the patient's cancer journey, while adhering to PSH drug use policies and staying updated on the latest advancements in cancer treatment therapies.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelor’s degree or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy required.
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program, and Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) certification.

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties. The facility features 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.
