A Community Manager provides proactive leadership, strategic direction, and hands-on management to ensure homeowners associations and condominium communities are operated in alignment with the goals, governing documents, and standards of both the Association and the Company. This role is responsible for fostering strong relationships with board members, residents, vendors, and internal teams while promoting a well-maintained, financially sound, and engaged community environment.
A successful Community Manager demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, paired with sound judgment and a customer-focused mindset. The role requires working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, financial oversight, and community operations, as well as the ability to guide boards through decision-making and long-term planning. Through effective leadership and engagement, the Community Manager supports community stability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Communication & Community Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between residents, board members, and stakeholders; respond to inquiries promptly and foster community engagement through effective communication and events.
- Administrative & Governance Support: Maintain accurate community records; coordinate board meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and reports; and ensure adherence to governing documents and policies.
- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, assessments, collections, and fines; collaborate with the board to ensure financial transparency, stability, and sound planning.
- Property & Vendor Management: Oversee maintenance and repairs of common areas; conduct regular property inspections; and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality service delivery.
- Rule Enforcement & Compliance: Enforce community rules consistently and fairly; address violations; and support the development and implementation of association policies.
- Legal, Risk & Emergency Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations; develop and execute emergency response plans; and coordinate with appropriate authorities as needed.
- Reporting, Technology & Professional Development: Provide regular operational and financial reports; leverage technology to improve communication and efficiency; and stay current on industry best practices through ongoing education.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Proven experience in community association, property, or HOA/condo management, with the ability to provide effective leadership and guidance to boards and residents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, manage expectations, and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple communities, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of HOA/condo governing documents, policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Experience with financial management, including budgeting, assessments, collections, and financial reporting in a community association environment.
- Ability to problem-solve independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively address operational, compliance, and resident concerns.
- Proficiency with property management software, technology tools, and standard business applications, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
$80,000 - $90,000 yearly
